This policy describes how Foundation Squaring Calculator (the "App") handles information. The App is a foundation-layout calculator published by AxelStack (the "Developer"). It applies to the current version of the App; see "Changes" below.

What the App collects

The App reports usage statistics to a Matomo analytics server operated by the Developer:

• How the App is used — which screens you open, which settings you change, how far you get through the introduction, whether you start or complete a purchase, how many calculations you run, and whether a layout you checked came out square
• Device and app information, such as the app version, your platform and OS version, screen size and language
• Which subscription the App is running on — whether it is unsubscribed, on a free trial, or on the monthly, yearly or lifetime plan
• A randomly generated identifier, created on first launch and stored on the device. Reinstalling the App generates a new one.
• The anonymous customer identifier described under "Subscriptions" below, so that a problem reported to support can be traced to the purchase it concerns

As with any request over the internet, the server also receives the IP address it came from. Statistics are held on your device while there is no connection and sent once there is one.

What the App does not collect

The measurements you enter — lengths, widths, diagonals, and the results calculated from them — are processed on your device and are not transmitted. The App does not ask for your name, email address, or account details, requests no runtime permissions, and does not access your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or files.

Subscriptions

The App is sold by subscription, with a one-time lifetime purchase as an alternative. All payment is handled by Apple's App Store or Google Play, and the Developer never sees your payment details.

Whether your subscription is active is managed by RevenueCat, Inc. RevenueCat receives an anonymous customer identifier and the purchase record the store reports — which plan, whether a trial is running, and when it renews or expires. That identifier is generated for the installation rather than for you — it is not linked to your name or email address, and reinstalling the App produces a new one. RevenueCat's own privacy policy governs the data once it reaches them.

The App also includes that identifier in the statistics it sends to the Developer's own Matomo server, so that a billing problem you report can be matched to the purchase behind it. It is used for support and troubleshooting, is not shared with anyone else, and is not used for advertising.

Information stored on your device

Your preferences, the measurements from your current layout, and whether your subscription is active are saved in the App's own storage, so the App is where you left it when you return to it. This is removed when you uninstall the App.

The link to our website

Settings contains a link to axelstack.com. The address carries a tag identifying this App and its version, so the Developer can see which app a visitor arrived from. Once you are on the website, that site's privacy practices apply rather than this policy.

Children

The App is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the App changes. Updates will be reflected by revising the "Last updated" date above, and material changes will be described in the App's release notes.
